So...this creamy Feta Dressing? It's quite possibly my family's new favorite salad dressing.

It's like ranch dressing with a Mediterranean flavor profile. Or like blue cheese dressing, except significantly milder.

Ingredients

Feta Dressing is thick and creamy and silky. It's made with a wholesome, protein-packed base + plenty o' flavor!

Labeled ingredients to make Creamy Feta Dressing.
  • Plain Greek yogurt. You can opt for whole milk, low-fat, or fat-free Greek yogurt. Just keep in mind that the higher the fat content of your yogurt, the richer the dressing will end up.
  • Feta cheese. Crumbled. A block of feta (that you crumble yourself) is recommended for the best flavor and consistency, but I have used pre-crumbled feta in a pinch and it works, too.
  • Fresh dill. Fresh dill is amazing if you can get it, but one-third the amount of dried dill may be substituted (since dried dill is three times more potent than fresh).
  • Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, + pepper. For flavor.
  • Apple cider vinegar. A little acidity helps balance the creaminess of this recipe.
  • Worcestershire sauce. Lends a subtle undertone of flavor.
  • Milk. For a just-right, pourable consistency.

It's super simple to make homemade Feta Dressing in just a few minutes!

  1. Measure the ingredients into a blender or food processor (regular or mini).

  1. Blend or process until the Feta Dressing is smooth and creamy. Add 1 tablespoon of milk and blend again. Then continue to add additional tablespoons of milk -- one at a time and blending in between -- until your preferred consistency is reached.

  1. Adjust the seasonings to taste, transfer to a bowl or jar, tightly cover, and refrigerate for a few hours before serving, to allow time for the flavors to blend.

Ways to Enjoy Feta Dressing

Just think of the possibilities for this creamy Feta Dressing!

For one thing, it's really thick when you first blend it up. So if you forgo adding the milk, it would actually make a great dip for raw veggies or pita wedges (reminiscent of -- but not identical to -- my Dreamy Dill Dip...yum).

However, thinned out and made per the recipe, this dressing is scrumptious over green salads, sliced tomatoes, or sliced cucumbers!

Or better yet, load up a salad with your favorite Greek or Mediterranean ingredients (such as the aforementioned tomatoes and cucumbers, plus kalamata olives, red onions, bell peppers, etc.) and then drizzle with this luxurious dressing. Your salad is guaranteed to be bursting with flavor. And once done, you may even find yourself licking any remnants of dressing off your plate!

We loved that this feta dressing was slightly tangy which kept it from being too rich. It was great over sliced tomatoes and we'll try it over a Greek salad next!

Great alternative to Blue Cheese dressing. We make all our dressing at home and never buy it from the store as it is so much better and this recipe is FANTASTIC. Really brightens up a salad during our Coronavirus Stay At Home time. Thank you!

Used this on a wedge salad since we aren’t fans of blue cheese and was fantastic! Added another tablespoon of milk for pourability but everyone really enjoyed it! Thanks!

I love it also as a dip since I didn't thin it out with additional milk.
How long will it keep. Thank you.

    1. Hi Yin! I'm not positive what you're asking, but I don't think so. This is intended to be a cold dressing.
